Visiting Mathura and Vrindavan had always been a dream for my parents, especially for my mother, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. This summer, I decided to surprise them with the Mathura Vrindavan Tour Package to celebrate their wedding anniversary and fulfil their long-pending wish.
We left Delhi early in the morning and reached Mathura by 10 am. Our guide welcomed us warmly and first took us to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. My mother stood silently for a while, tears rolling down her cheeks, as she prayed at the exact place where Lord Krishna was born. The guide narrated stories of Devaki, Vasudeva, and Krishna’s birth. Even though we had heard these tales since childhood, listening to them while standing at the actual birthplace was a deeply emotional experience.
We then visited Dwarkadhish Temple and Vishram Ghat, where we saw devotees performing rituals on the banks of Yamuna. The peaceful atmosphere, ringing bells, and chants made us feel spiritually rejuvenated.
After a delicious vegetarian lunch, we proceeded to Vrindavan. As part of our package, we explored some of the 20 Must-Visit Temples in Vrindavan and Mathura in 2025, including Banke Bihari Temple, where we barely managed to get darshan in the huge crowd, yet the glimpse we got was enough to fill our hearts with devotion.
We visited ISKCON Temple, where we attended the mesmerizing aarti with hundreds of devotees singing and dancing to Hare Krishna chants. My father, who usually stays quiet, was seen clapping and smiling like a child. We also went to Prem Mandir, glowing beautifully in the evening lights. The intricate carvings of Radha-Krishna leelas and the grandeur of the temple left us spellbound. My mother kept saying, “Yeh jagah toh swarg jaisi lagti hai.”
The package included clean hotel rooms with pure vegetarian meals, making my parents comfortable throughout the trip. The next morning, we visited other temples like Rangji Temple, Radha Raman Temple, Radha Damodar Temple, Shahji Temple, and Nidhivan, each with its own miraculous story and spiritual significance.
Walking through the lanes of Vrindavan, listening to the guide narrating stories of Krishna playing raas leela, stealing makhan, and blessing his devotees, felt surreal. My parents kept thanking me for organising this tour. While returning, my mother held my hand and said, “Beta, aaj mujhe lagta hai maine apni zindagi ka sabse bada sapna poora kar liya.”
This journey was not just about temple visits – it was about connecting with our roots, understanding devotion, and creating lifelong memories with loved ones. If you wish to experience true spiritual bliss, these 20 Must-Visit Temples in Vrindavan and Mathura in 2025 should definitely be on your travel list. The Mathura Vrindavan Tour Package made everything seamless and comfortable, letting us focus solely on prayers and peace.
